The last stop in Hyalite Canyon area but definitely worth the drive. This trail gives you spectacular views of a high mountain lake and surrounding cliffs that leave you in awe. Heather Lake is another mile beyond Emerald if you are looking for a slightly longer ride. This portion of the trail is less traveled due in part to the technical difficulty of the trail. On the flipside, you will be rewarded with a very peaceful and less visited area. From the parking lot the trail immediately enters the forest with a nice variety of roots and rocks to
keep you focused and giving you new obstacles around every corner. As the trail makes its way up the canyon it will gradually become steeper and more technical. There is about a ¾ mile stretch before you reach the last bridge that will put your legs, lungs and technical skills to the test; as you pick your way through rocks and roots along with a decent grade. This is a great trail to help hone your technical skills. The ride is worth the reward! On top of having great views at the top, don’t forget the awesome downhill that awaits!
Time Share Trail – More information on timeshare click here.
The trail is open to mountain bikers with timeshare restrictions from July 16th – September 4.
